For National Chromium, GOAD installed Koroseal with GOPLUSO linings in the top 12" of the tanks. Special GOPLUS material was bonded on top of and welded on to the Koroseal to address the problem of deterioration at solution level. GOAD COMPANY actively promotes Koroseal tank linings because they have functioned so successfully for their plating customers. Koroseal linings made with thermoplastic PVC provide a high resistance to corrosives that cannot be matched by rubber linings. Bonding Koroseal to a tank provides excellent corrosion resistance and extends the tanks service life. The lining can be spark tested for leaks before service, as well as anytime thereafter. Compared with Koroseal linings, drop-in liners usually fit loosely, causing them to sag when filled. They tend to create fit problems for tanks with a variety of outlets, weirs, sumps, partitions, and overflows. With drop-in liners, it is very difficult to detect leaks before significant damage occurs.
